India will celebrate its 79th Independence Day on August 15, 2025, with grand ceremonies at the historic Red Fort in New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lead the celebrations, unfurl the National Flag, and address the nation. This year’s theme, Naya Bharat, reflects the country’s vision of a prosperous, secure, and bold future. The event will feature a Guard of Honour, cultural performances, military bands, and special guests from across the country, including NCC cadets, ‘My Bharat’ volunteers, and achievers from various fields. The celebrations will also honour the success of Operation Sindoor and showcase India’s unity in diversity.
